Most people think that being vegetarian just means you’re stuck to eating salads, but there are some pretty fun ways to spice up your diet besides salads and I really I hope that the ways I will show you how to do so will inspire you to change your diet. I have wanted to be a vegetarian for seven years but my mom never allowed me to do it because I “needed a lot of protein because I was a growing girl” even though there are many options for protein besides meat.
I only went through this transition in my diet one month ago so I will be learning more as time goes on. I am an eighteen year old girl from Southern California and I am an absolute animal lover and a huge advocate for animal rights which leads to my vegetarianism. This is just the first step in my lifestyle change as I eventually want to become vegan and I will be taking you on this journey with me! Since I have transitioned to a vegetarian diet, I have felt lighter if that makes any sense. I used to eat very unhealthy and I totally didn’t care what I was putting in my body but now that I’m in college and there are some healthy vegetarian options in the dining center I figured it was a good time to take the plunge into a healthier lifestyle (also the fear of the freshman fifteen was a haunting thought in my mind lol).
